Finished the season with a record of 20-8 • Wrestled primarily in open tournaments and recorded four falls on the year • Wrestled in the North Dakota State dual against Matt Erickson and won 13-6 • Went 4-1 at the Bison Open • Scored a fall over Jasper Oyster of North Dakota State at the 2:06 mark • Recorded a 16-1 tech fall win over Hayden Zillmer of the Bison • Won six matches at the UNI Open • Also competed at the Finn Grinaker Open and Southern Scuffle • Letterwinner.

Finished the season 11-10 overall and 2-3 in dual matches • Was 2-3 in Big Ten matches • Recorded three pins as well as two technical falls on the season • Made his first appearance at the Big Ten Championships • Finished third at the Husky Open, scoring a 16-0 technical fall over Jesse Westphal of Minnesota State Mankato • Scored a 15-0 technical fall win over Purdue's Tom Churchard to earn his first Big Ten win • Picked up an 11-9 decision over Sean Nemec of Ohio State • Fell to Michigan's Brandon Zeerip, 11-8 • Earned his second letter.


2008-09 • REDSHIRTED:
Posted a 15-6 mark on the season at 141 lbs. • Won seven matches by fall • Won two matches by major decision • First career win came by fall at the Bison Open • Opened season, and career, with a 4-1 tally for a third place finish at the Bison Open, losing only to the eventual runner-up • Beat teammate Jake Mellmer 8-6 in the third place match • Earned first career fall in first career match, pinning Mark Erickson • Went 2-2 at the Kaufman/Brand Amateur Open, winning two matches by fall before dropping the next two • Garnered second place honors at the Flash Open in early January • Earned his first career individual championship at the Minnesota West Open, gaining a pair of falls along the way.


HIGH SCHOOL:
Competed for perennial wrestling power Apple Valley High School as a prep • Two-time NHSCA All-American • Three-time MSHSL state champion • Four-time section champion • Four-time All-State selection • Three-time All-Lake Conference selection • Named sixth-best national recruit at 135 pounds by Amateur Wrestling News.

The purpose of the RYC Employees of the Month program is to recognize outstanding full-time employees of all our RYC cities who embody their company’s standards for excellence & customer service based on the C.A.R.E values.

In addition to these values, the EOM program will recognize those employees who show exemplary individual achievement, contribution, and performance in their jobs and other related duties beyond their own, in an effort to make the workplace more efficient and more welcoming to co-workers and customers.
The EOM program seeks to acknowledge those whose efforts have inspired and supported the performance and achievement of others.
The EOM program will provide awards to such employees by a means that is fair, with equal consideration of all eligible staff.

A City's employee who demonstrates the following will be eligible for the EOM Award:
A positive attitude toward work responsibilities, co-workers and customers, and serves as a role model for others;
A commitment to quality in carrying out job responsibilities, and is an asset to the department;
A willingness to take initiative, and accept and carry out additional responsibilities beyond regular job assignments for the good of the department as a whole.

Nomination & Selection

Committee Composition/Objectives

The committee is comprised of seven department members, which will have the responsibility for managing the nomination, selection, and award process for the Employee of the Month Program.

The committee evaluates the nomination and selects the Employee of the Month honorees each month.

Members of the committee shall serve for one year and are not eligible to receive the award during their year of service.

Criteria & Nomination

1. Three (3) employees per month shall be selected for a single award each month in the following
categories: 
1 office employee (all classification levels, not including Assistant Directors and above)
1 custodial employee
1 trades or engineer employee
 

2. Candidates for the award must be an individual, not a department, functional unit, or group of people.

3. Nominations may be made by anyone with an active affiliation within the CPFM
department (i.e., co-workers, staff, administrators, customer, etc).

4. A candidate for the award must meet the following criteria:

Nominees must be non-probationary, full-time company employees
Must have been employed at least one (1) year within the company
Can be employed at any of company in the RYC  locations
Has not been selected as employee of the Month within the past 12 months
Has a positive attitude toward work responsibilities, co-workers and customers, and also serves as a role model for others
Is productive, exhibits commitment to quality in carrying out job responsibilities, and is an asset to the staff in his/her unit
Is willing to take initiative, and accepts and carries out additional responsibilities beyond regular job assignments
Have a distinguished attendance record, is consistently dependable and punctual in reporting for duty, completing assignments on time, and participating in additional responsibilities

5. Any eligible staff member may be nominated more than once.

6. All nominations must be submitted on the form available and received by the committee by the 25th of each month in order to be considered for that particular month’s award.

7. Nominees who do receive the award for the month in which they have been nominated may be nominated again, and will automatically remain in the nomination pool.

Award Framework

Award recipients shall receive:

A visit from members of the committee to present the award, where a picture will be taken for publication in internal communications venues;
A gift of appreciation for the employee;
A letter of congratulations;
A certificate suitable for framing;
Inclusion on a plaque to be prominently displayed in an appropriate location of the company on behalf of the company and RYC.
